Frank
Great English breakfast with hot fresh food, fairly priced. Particularly good and fab location in Eastbourne, right by a day's sightseeing.- Close to bus stops and both the restaurant and bar.
-
Ted
Airy and new-fashioned rooms with a seaview are accompanied by good service. The beach restaurant with full service and proper restaurant is what you need. Would stay here again, our experience was wonderful.

Ray
The breakfast was great english and above average with hot fresh food, all the food was outstanding! The location turned out to be good, near the restaurant which were really clean and well appointed, the public park on the otherside of the road, and Eastbourne for an afternoon tea treat after seeing an offer on Groupon. I ate at the beach restaurant near the hotel.

The breakfast was excellent. The rooms may be small, but they are superbly furnished. The location is optimal. The staff is friendly in every situation. A hotel in the old English style.

You'll find a bus stop conveniently located just 500 meters from this venue, and the family room offers a cozy bed, ample space for an armchair, and a lovely bedroom.

I liked the professionalism of the staff, their smart appearance, their friendliiness and helpfulness; the excellent lounges (so often lacking in newly built hotels) which were a Godsend when the weather was inclement!; the beautifully furnished restaurant. I last stayed at The Lansdowne when Mrs Lewis was middle-aged and I paid 7/6d for a garage. It was good to find that standards have been maintained over the years. I hope to come again soon.
One little niggle: Would it be possible to ban the use of the lifts between the hours of 11.00pm and 6.00am?
